Just installed main locally and it already fixes some good extra bugs. Would be great to get a release. The most recent release has been almost 4 months!

@corneliusroemer If you are ok with using a SHA instead of an official tag, you can use latest latest code as described at #3542 (comment).

Could we consider a 2.3.1 release soon...? Reason being that I'm on Mason and the registry is bound to 2.3.0 currently, and I'd like to see #2281 fixed, otherwise I'll just have .codespellrc of 1 line in every Cargo project of mine, since LSP config isn't a thing in Codespell from what I understand.

@DimitriPapadopoulos any thoughts ?

I don't know. Perhaps the dictionaries and codespell should be split into separate Python packages, or even a dictionary tarball and a Python package for codespell itself.

That seems like a major version update. Perhaps we can do a minor update before-hand ?

Hey! I've also just been bitten by a bug that has already been patched last month but not released.

@DimitriPapadopoulos simply out of curiosity, what would be the reason not to publish a new release?

Thanks in advance!
