I just took a look at the project. I also do a lot with Rust on the side, so I know how resource-intensive it is. Is it possible to include prebuilds in your release pipeline? With Cargo/Rust, it's not a huge effort via GitHub Action, or is there a reason not to? The big drawback is that if you build it live, we'll need at least 4-6GB of RAM for the project.

I've provided a fix for the websurfx repository and created a PR for the inclusion of a NixOS module into nixpkgs.
The nix package is cached by the NixOS ecosystem, so you won't need to build the application on nix/NixOS if the PR gets merged and lands in the unstable branch.

I am not responsible for websurfx and am not a maintainer of the program/repository; I'm just a one-time contibutor.
So if you don't use the websurfx package that's provided by linux distribution's package managers, you will need to compile it yourself.

You can create an issue upstream or open a pull request to get a working build workflow merged.
