On melpa-stable is very old version without `:vc` keyword

I decided to rewrite my config basing on minimal-emacs, and it's configured to prefer melpa-stable over melpa. I got Unrecognized keyword: :vc and spent some time figuring out what have happened. It appears that melpa-stable holds the version from 2020.

:vc is included at current latest commit, so this is "unstable" feature. However, there is no standard by which to judge what is “stable”.
I don't believe that melpa-stable is actively supported by the emacs community.
I think that using a regular MELPA is the better choice, as it is the easiest to guess the behavior.

@anuvyklack as it can be seen here, minimal-emacs.d uses normal melpa by default. It doesn't even configure melpa-stable by default.

@arthsmn yes, however this is what minimal-emacs.d sets:

(customize-set-variable 'package-archive-priorities '(("gnu"    . 99)
                                                      ("nongnu" . 80)
                                                      ("melpa"  . 70)))

And so it downloads leaf.el from GNU Elpa. And there it has some "leaf-4.5.5" version, which is not found among the tags of this repository, so I suspect it's getting the latest tag -- which is very outdated.

@anuvyklack fix this by adding the following code to your post-early-init.el:

                        '(("gnu"    . 70)
                          ("nongnu" . 60)
                          ("melpa"  . 99)))
