Miniforge installation refers to non-installed package micromamba #666

Solution to issue cannot be found in the documentation.

  • I checked the documentation.

Issue

Ran the miniforge installation as per the README. The installation script emits the following towards the end:

To activate this environment, use:

    micromamba activate <path>/miniforge3

Or to execute a single command in this environment, use:

    micromamba run -p <path>/miniforge3 mycommand

However, the micromamba package is not installed as part of this procedure, and the micromamba command is therefore unknown. Should this read 'mamba' instead? (I am a Conda/Mamba novice, but I do wonder whether even that's necessary, given that installer instructions then follow for activating the miniforge3 environment either "automatically" or manually.)

hmm i can recreate on Ubuntu 22.04

Yes it should be read as conda activate ...

I think it is because we switched to using micromamba as an installation backend,
