Configure field appearance

Hi 👋

I'm trying to add a field chapterType and configure its appearance in the editor to be a radio button, as can be done on the UI management page, as can be seen in the screenshot.

How do I do that via the migration library?

Hello Momoneko, thanks for raising this issue.

I might point you in the direction of the changeFieldControl() method, as well at the docs on editorInterfaces.

For example, to change a content type star/rating field, from the default number editor to a rating editorInterface, you could do something like:

module.exports = (migration) => {
  // Get the existing author content type
  const author = migration.editContentType('author');

  // Change the age field control from default numberEditor to rating
  author.changeFieldControl('rating', 'builtin', 'rating', {
    helpText: 'Rate the author\'s rating using stars (1-5 scale)',
    stars: 5  // Number of stars to display (1-5)
  });
};
