Hi everyone 👋
I’m Crom Kim, the creator of Splitwriter — a small, focused writing tool built for comfortable, uninterrupted writing.

It started as “a stubborn creator + GPT” refusing to give up until the writing tool felt right.

Current beta: v0.9.9-beta.5 (Portable, Windows x64)
UI language: English
Typing input (IME/keyboard): Auto (System) + manual options (works with your system IME)

If you try Splitwriter, I’d love to hear:

• Your use case (novel, script, journal, notes, etc.)
• What felt good / what felt annoying
• Bugs (what you did → what you expected → what happened)
• Feature ideas (small + practical is best)

If you’re reporting a bug, please include:

• Version (e.g., v0.9.9-beta.5)
• OS (Windows 10/11)
• Steps to reproduce (1–2–3)
• Screenshot if possible

Roadmap (rough, honest version)

• v1.0 “pure” release (stability + polish)
• macOS build after v1.0
• If people actually find it useful… I might shamelessly add a “buy me a coffee” link ☕

Factory Reset (Windows)

If the app feels “weird” after many experiments:

1. Close Splitwriter
2. Press Win+R and paste: %LOCALAPPDATA%\com.splitwriter.app\Splitwriter
3. Delete:

• local-prefs.json (your local settings)
• default-preset.json (preset defaults will be rebuilt)

4. Launch Splitwriter again — fresh start.
