unable to start the vite server via npm run dev : Error: "Named export 'version' not found"

Hey guys, I tried the Crx and I loved how easy to use it with vite so
I followed the docs to get started
When I run npm run dev, I get this error:

SyntaxError: Named export 'version' not found from 'vite'

Maybe seeing you vite.config as well as whichever vite version you using could add more context to this question making it easier to answer.
