Seems like this could be something in the stdlib. Have you thought about trying to get this in the Crystal Compiler?

Good question. ioctl(2) is mainly a *nix C function, where as Windows has a different function for performing ioctls on devices. The ioctl macros and codes are mostly OS specific. Crystal stdlib seems to have a policy of not exposing all of libc's functions, especially the "dangerous" or OS specific ones.
