Selector playground - would like this same functionality in 15.4.0+

Please bring back this functionality, no point to remove it, the AI is less accurate than the selector. And it makes no sense to have a second vertical menu on the left to record all the clicks and have the app smaller due to that. Most of the selector are so long that I can't even see them at first, I have to scroll. So now: smaller left menu, smaller app view, vertical menu on the right on which I'm not even able to see the full selector on a 27 inch screen

@NicolasUri27 Studio does not use AI to generate selectors. Although we have made a lot of updates to make the selectors generation better.

We’re exploring options to bring the selectors playground functionality into Studio currently.

It would be helpful to understand what the most valuable feature of the Selector Playground is:

• Hover and get a selector (without action)
• Write and check a selector existing on the page

@NicolasUri27 There is not a way to get a selector without using Studio in 15.4.0. The current intention is to add the selector functionality into Studio, as this integrates a key portion of our product offerings moving forward.

Is the usage of the #app id appended to the selector inaccurate? 15.4.0 and 15.3.0 selectors will be different - this is from intentional changes to improve the selection algorithm for performance, accuracy, and readability.

@NicolasUri27 You can click on the current test to 'Edit in Studio'. Studio will focus you into a single test for review.

How can I get the selector of a button without clicking on it?

There's not a way to do this, which I think is a key issue with Studio right now. We intend to add some functionality to get a selector without interacting with the UI.

I also have downgraded to 15.3 due to the selector playground missing. For me it is a must have feature.
I use both

Remove functionality that most use on a daily basis to get selectors and also double check for valid selectors, and add AI stuff that no one needs. Downgrade it is
