I tried upgrading my Linksys E8450 / Belkin RT3200 from OpenWrt 23 to 24 using the v1.1.4 release.
First, I flashed openwrt-24.10.0-mediatek-mt7622-linksys_e8450-ubi-initramfs-recovery-installer.itb to prepare the new UBI partition layout before flashing.
Then, I flashed openwrt-24.10.0-mediatek-mt7622-linksys_e8450-ubi-squashfs-sysupgrade.itb to upgrade to version 24.10.

Unfortunately, my router got bricked. I recovered it back to version 23 via UART guide and tried the upon process again—but it bricked again. That’s when I realized that the 24.10.0 sysupgrade file was the cause of the problem.

Finally, I used the installer from the v1.1.4 release but flashed the 24.10.2 sysupgrade image from openwrt release.
instead, and this time the upgrade from 23 to 24 completed successfully.
