Thank you for the heads up @orestesgaolin, I'll keep an eye out for this change, and sorry for my late response, totally missed this issue.

I decided to sync this package only with Flutter's stable channel, and the commit you mention did not land in stable yet.

In the release 1.0.1 in cffcb68, I synced with the current stable: it's mainly documentation changes from upstream.

I also made it clearer for users of the package that this package is synced with the stable branch/channel (manually). I documented at the top of each what are the last synced commit, so that it's easier to notice a change and re-sync the package afterwards.
