Can't connect to board because of distance

Is there a way to make these boards available to people who aren't currently in the area, but may be on holidays and normally live in the area? I can imagine it would be frustrating to see misinformation being spread about your home area and not be able to have input into fixing it. Maybe people can set a home location if their phone has been in the area for 75% of the time, or some other amount, just to prove that they live there.

We are thinking of a function within the app that allows user to view the comment from the board (if they have used the board before or scanned the QR code before).
