Previously I used other CV templates, and didn't have any problem uploading them to work application sites. With this template I have issues. Whenever I try to submit it it shows an error "file format not allowed" or "The system does not allow files with active contents. Please contact the administrator or try again after removing active contents." Anybody knows where is this arising from?

A PDF file contain embedded objects with active content that others might see as a potential threat. An easy way is to open your PDF file in any web browser, such as Google Chrome. Next, access the print menu by selecting the 'Print' option. Then, change the destination to 'Save as PDF' and choose a new location on your system to save the file.
