ab: slow and single threaded?!?

From my experience, `ab` is very high performance / lightweight, much more so than most other tools I tried. You can also choose how many requests run parallely/concurrently. ....I wonder where you got the statement "slow and single threaded" from. It seems plain wrong to me.
