VFS Product Directory Release

The QA Standards team is excited to announce the launch of the VFS Product Directory, effective today! The VFS Product Directory will help platform teams have a better understanding of all veteran-facing products that exist on VA.gov, by providing key information about those products.

VFS Teams will begin to encounter the VFS Product Directory in the coming weeks during Collaboration Cycle touchpoints. In those touchpoints teams will be asked to review their Product Directory listing and ensure all the information is correct/current. Keeping listings up to date will help platform teams maintain a better understanding of your products and also helps to enable some future improvements that are in the works.

Currently, we would greatly appreciate it if teams would take a moment to review their product’s listing in the directory, and follow the process to request any necessary updates. Doing this will help get the directory up to date more quickly, and will streamline any requirements to update the list in Collaboration Cycle touchpoints.

• VFS Product Directory - User Guide: Provides information on how to review and request changes to your product directory entry.
• VFS Product Directory: Please find and review your product’s listing to ensure it’s accurate. (NOTE - Our usability tests indicated teams had an easier time making updates if the entry was review by someone from the Product discipline and Engineering discipline working together, and submitting a single change request. Listings are updated once a day at 3 PM)
