Is it possible to play elder scrolls online with legendary?

I tried to launch it with legendary but the binary[zosEGSStarter.exe] for starting the game with epic credentials crashes.

I can start the ESO patcher["C:\ESO\Zenimax\Launcher\Bethesda.net_Launcher.exe"] manually which will let you start the game, but even if you create an ESO account & link it to your Epic account & login it will still get stuck on a prompt that makes you wait indefinitely for an access code which will never get sent to you email inbox.

That might have something to do with the message that appears on the ESO account when you login to the website.

Install dotnet48 via Winetricks to make the default executable work. It's responsible for logging into your Epic account & opening the app connection prompt, so not using it to run the game isn't possible

I tried installing .NET Framework 4.8 but I already had the latest version installed.

I sort of fixed it.
I still get that error above but If I copy & run the long zosEGSStarter.exe command with the epic token arguments I can get the game to start.
And since it has started at least once the ESO account I linked to my Epic account recognizes that I 'own' the game.
I think zosEGSStarter.exe also has to be in the same directory as the Launcher folder for it to recognize that the patcher is installed.

The setup.exe also does not allow you to change the install location. but it takes some arguments -D$USER_INSTALL_DIR$="path to install"

No idea how to properly fix it though, either I installed it wrong or my machine is different.
It gets some token but the starter exe can't read the format since it starts with a '<'.

It's working properly now, the problem was a bad proxy config.
