I would love to have support for LaTeX code straight out of the box in Trix. As of now we use an IMG-tag and the website tex.s2cms.ru for displaying LaTeX, but it would have been lovely for all courses within the natural sciences to have support for this directly in the editor.

Not making any promises, but we could explore the possibilities once more pressing matters are taken care of.

When we get there, KaTeX is one possible solution we could explore.

When we get there, KaTeX is one possible solution we could explore.

We used KaTeX for the new editor introduced with Devilry 5.4, and I believe we can reuse much of that work here.
