Ignore changes of numbers on webpage - regex (help wanted)

I am trying to monitor page below

I keep getting tonnes of false positives with

1. First I selected the option of Only trigger when new line appears , but false positive continue
2. I then setup wait for /TheBrain(.*)Started by Harlan in Software Releases and Updates/ but false positive continue
3. I have now set it IGNORE text of /(\d+)/ ,

Is #3 ok? How to test since posts are done on this page once every month or so , so I cannot test , I am no longer getting emails but I am not clear.

Since seems you want to got notified for a new software release, could be usefull to set a CSS/JSON/XPATH filter that you can define by inspecting the XML of the page.
Anyway the regex you defined is wrong for what you reported. You have to take into account the spaces because \d+ matches with the first occurrence. There are a lot of site in which you can test your regex. Just google it.

yeah, he didnt try to check the regex with any online tool to try help himself first i think

1. check your regex, help yourself more (like @peppetemp says)

2. click on 'show current' or 'preview'

then you will see that it can highlight what will be ignored

3. this is not an issue - moved to discussions
