Running two instances at the same time

I set up two instances at the same time as a particular website I am watching requires a different config. I have been randomly running into an issue (twice in the past day now) where all the watches in the one of the instances stop refreshing (the same one both times). I found a comment by @dgtlmoon here #1254 where it is implied running two at the same time can cause an issue. Is that the problem? Can it be done without issues?

so it means, version, kind of site, exactly the error you are getting, zip and attach the logs of both

I restarted the instance that wasn't refreshing which appears to wipe the logs. Will have to wait until it happens again. In any case I am not seeking help fixing the issue right now. I just want to know if running two at the same time can cause problems. Dont want to troubleshoot something that couldnt cause the problem.

1. The datastore MUST be in a different directory for each install
2. You MUST use a different port for each install
