I wrote a TUI (text user interface) for changedetection.

Why? because TUI are all the rage now, I needed a project to learn python, and I ❤️ changedetection

This is actually quite cool! I can see this real useful for people who need to monitor some internal architecture/configs/super-private-websites that can only be accessed by SSH

Or some internal API to their organisation that runs deep deep inside a server

any chance it works with lower versions (same versions) of python as changedetection? they might be , after all running on the same servers .. not all machines have 3.13 yet

a deb/dpkg would be cool too :)

docker integration completed, README updated.
any ideas on where we could announce its existence? seems too niche for yc, maybe x.com? a specific subreddit?

In a newer version i'm generating the text diffs/history report on the server, you'll be able to pull that data directly

meanwhile, when installed by pip

sh: 1: icdiff: not found

icdiff has a pypi package, could you use that instead? never drop to shell unless absolutely necessary

nice catch I created grota/changedetection-tui#3 for the icdiff issue.
arrows: yeah I default to vim's hjkl but they can be remapped.
Yeah I took a quick glance at the upcoming server side diff, will that be exposed via API?
