Description

When PERSISTENCE is enabled (maybe a new value?), ask for Windows Hello to retrieve the password the first time pinentry asks it from Windows Credentials Manager.

Setup

  • Description of your computer hardware
  • Windows 11 build 25188.1000
  • Version of gpg: 2.2.27
  • Version of pinentry-wsl-ps1.sh: dev-master
  • Version of the (optional) davotronic5000/PowerShell_Credential_Manager: None
  • Describe how you installed pinentry-wsl-ps1.sh on your computer: I've followed the setup section in the README
  • Detail any options you changed inside the pinentry-wsl-ps1.sh file: None

Steps to reproduce

No steps needed

Actual Result

Windows Hello is unused

Expected Result

When pinentry is called the first time, a Windows Hello prompt appears instead of a password prompt

Workarounds

I like the idea. At this time, this is a feature enhancement. I welcome PRs and code ideas that might implement this new feature.

A friendly reminders for all readers of this issue: please note the security disclosure in the README related to automatically retrieving passwords.
