I'm wondering the same. The last commit is about 2 years old and no recent activity from the developer in issues/PRs.

I keep using because I think it is a much valuable tool.

No, it's not dead. Unfortunately I'm very busy with other things, and thus I'm not paying much attention to issues here. I'm positive that things will be less stressful in the near future, and I'll be able to maintain btrbk more frequently.

At the moment I'm not aware of any major bugs in btrbk: in case I miss something important, please nag or even send me an email (address is in the code).

@digint Hi, I'd say Check if a external drive is mounted before snapshot / backup is a real barrier to using btrbk.
