Description
Hello there!
I have used BTRBK for a while, but since, what I'm assuming here, kernel updates since maybe 6.12, I notice that during some stages of the process of btrbk run or btrbk resume, it slows the rest of the system, making browsers, file managers, etc. unresponsive for some seconds, minutes sometimes. When I check its resource consumption, it doesn't look like it is taking too much. I am also assuming here that at some stage it consumes more I/O than it should. I'm trying to use btrbk run more than once a day because I also noticed that doing it sporadically, as I used to do, makes it worse too.
My laptop system info
OS: Fedora Linux 42 (Workstation Edition) x86_64
Host: 82CF (LEGION 5 15IMH)
Kernel: Linux 6.14.8-cachyos1.fc42.x86_64
WM: Hyprland 0.49.0 (Wayland)
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H (12) @ 5.00 GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Mobile [Discrete]
Memory: 4.76 GiB / 15.52 GiB (31%)
Swap: 2.21 GiB / 15.52 GiB (14%)
Disk (/): 378.30 GiB / 929.50 GiB (41%) - btrfs
Disk (/mnt/Mnemosyne/Proton): 653.22 GiB / 931.50 GiB (70%) - btrfs
On both Fedora and CachyOS kernel and both Gnome and Hyprland it happens. I started noticing it when I used only Gnome.
