DNN Core Language Packs

Is there a reason the core language packs are no longer distributed with the install in v10

I now have a French website, with login translated OK, but the personabar only uses English?

In fact it is a mix of languages. Has anyone else seen this?

I have a v10.1.0 working correctly. just v10.1.1 has the problem. I'll rebuild tomorrow and see if the problem still exists.

I've just noticed that during installation the languages don't appear, even if you're using the language.

OK, I have tried this multiple times with v10.1.0 and v10.1.1. Languages look to be broken. I'll log it as an issue.

Oh for documentation sake: Those come from the update service. It was originally coded to only show in that list language packs that at least match the major version and there was 0 translations for v10.

1. The technology team discussed possibilities about renaming all latest packs to 10.0.0 or using AI to translate for us or to simply remove the rule to only show packs matching the major version. After weighting in all the pros and cons of each approach, we landed on simply allowing display of latest pack for each language as we really want a native speaking human to validate those strings for security/quality reasons and any missing keys will fallback to English which is better than blindly trusting an AI tool without speaking the language.
2. I updated the french language pack to https://github.com/dnnsoftware/Language-Pack-FR-FR/releases/tag/v10.1.2
3. I got a few direct contacts about people willing to help with translation and created this video to respond to all in one go https://youtu.be/X8cKkzIJ9Jg
4. https://github.com/dnnsoftware/Language-Pack-DE-DE/releases/tag/v10.2.1 has been released yesterday
5. An update is in progress for Language pack prepared for use in DNN 10 Language-Pack-NL-NL#194
6. Then I found an issue with the lack of standards on the language pack file names, which will be fixed shortly https://github.com/dnnplatform/dnnupdateservice/pull/17
