How can I make a task give me coins per individual completion rather than needing 3/3 etc?

I want it to give me 30 coins each time I complete, as I like to aim for 3 but do not always have the time to complete 3.
So 1 completion = one study session = 30 coins.

Does this need to be a feature request or am I just missing a way to do it?

This is a feature I've requested, it's not possible at the moment
Coins are collected on n/n completion.
So if you set count 3 you won't get the coins until you complete it 3 times.
You can set count 1 in which case as you complete it you'll immediately get the coins.
However as the minimum occurrence is daily you won't be a able to complete it again for more points until the next day.

@dohsimpson I think this is exactly what we discussed in #87.
I'll expand on this with my thoughts:

I'd like to be able to have habits that I can complete multiple times and earn a reward each time, with the completion status adding up during the habit's cycle.

Let's say I want to work out at least three times a week. I create a habit with the following settings:

• Name: Work out
• When: Every week
• Complete: 3 times
• Reward: 15 points

Right now, the completion seems to reset daily (is that a bug?), so if I work out on Wednesday, the habit resets to 0/3 at midnight. So "3 times" and "every week" does not equate to "three times per week" but to "3 times in one day, once per week". This feels wrong and kind of violates the idea of slow habit-building without penalizing slip-ups too much. And let's be honest, these happen regularly, otherwise we wouldn't use a habit-building app.

So the idea is, I want to give myself a reward for completing each item of the habit and another one on top of that for completing the streak. This is akin to daily/weekly tasks in computer games: You get 10 XP every time you complete the weekly quest, plus another 10XP at the end of the week when the streak is completed.

This serves to reinforce the motivation to complete the streak but still gives you that little dopamine kick when completing the individual habits.

This seems to contradict what you stated in my feature request, "...the habits in HabitTrove work exactly as you'd like them."
I proposed a few new features including a coins on each completion even if the total number of completions is less than what is set.
Admittedly I could have explained it better and I agree the current system is good, it should remain as well as new features, the more options to users the better.

Some thoughts I've had around habits and tasks for how they could be expanded.
Insta Cash
A setting per habit that enables the earn as you go method.
This way if you have a habit that lets say is study for 3 hours per day and you did 1 hour or 2 you still get a percentage of the total coins.
Example, if 30 coins total then completing 2/3 is 10 coins, you would earn this on each completion not at the end of the due date.
This encourages trying and pushing for the goals without punishing because you weren't perfect.

Infinite Cash
This I see as not a setting but specific habit, no time frame and on completion it's instantly available again to complete.
This example we'll use smoking, lets say you want to quit smoking and the method you chose is every hour you don't smoke equals coins.
You can't use this with the current system as unless your perfect you end up with no reward even though you might be making great effort.
You could use the Insta Cash method but a simple I made it through the hour open app and select to earn coins now, repeat.
Another example could be chores, instead of do x number in a day just have an infinite habit that is completed each time a chore is done.
This is highly use for kids whereby you need to have the bar low to encourage building the habit.

Dual Habits
This should not be a separate habit e.g. a negative habit.
There's lots of studies that show positive reinforcement is superior to negative and having a habit the brain only associates with negativity is not great.
Instead I'm proposing a special dual habit which has both a positive coins reward and negative deduct coins.
I think the option needs to be there to change negative cash as a percentage or multiplier of the positive coins.
This is because you may not want to and shouldn't have negative coins deduct the same as what you can earn from positive coins.
You don't want the brain thinking well 1 step forward 1 step back, but for those that want that they can.
Should also allow all the option to be used with other habits e.g. Insta Cash.
Thinking this would require a rework of the current wording system which uses complete, thinking a coin icon?
Left could be a positive bright gold coin icon for earning and right is red icon for deducting.

Bleeding Habits
Optional setting for if this isn't done by the due time then deduct a determined set value of coins or a percentage of the total earnable coins.
Example, daily habit of study 2 hours earns you 30 coins. If the day passes and you didn't complete then either a set value you specified or a percentage of the 30 coins is deducted from your wallet.
This is on the negative side but has its purpose as it encourages stating a habit instead of being scared/procrastinating.
Should be able to have this with other habit settings except Infinite Habits as they contradict.
This could be added to tasks as well but as I'm not using them my bias is to habits 😊.

NFC Completion
I've seen this implemented with NFC tag and URL.
Essentially buy a bunch of NFC tags and portal lets you write the info and then simple tap completes that habit or adds 1 to the count.

When Redesign
The when system is very confusing, I think it needs to be a drop down list so the user knows what their options are.
At the moment you need to guess what the formatting is with it saying invalid rule.

Habit Stats
Optional setting for very minimal info on the habit tile itself, the average completion per due cycle.
This will allow you to see at a glance when your constantly in habits which ones your needing to improve on or get started on.

Habit Management
New menu item for shared habits or some distinction so you can manage yours and others easier as they're currently combined.
Also very much need to reorder them without having to modify the JSON file or delete and make again as it's ordered by creation.

Higher completes
Simple one, allow for setting the completes beyond 10.
Admittedly there's less reasons to set such a counter but having it higher would be nice.

Wishlist Management
Same as habit management

This app is excellent, can't wait for it to develop and become the go to for many users.
