Page and namespace identical not showing section

Hi

I have a wiki where there is a page called
process
And for the sub pages are located in the namespace
process

When I try to get a section from it
{{page>process#abbreviations}}
Or
{{section>process#abbreviations}}

It doesn't show anything

But if I use a page in the 'process' namespace it shows the section for example
{{page>process:mentalhealth#helplines}}

Is there a work around? am I using it wrong? Is it a bug? ANy help or pointers in the right direction would be great
