Hello, I'm using SharpPcap version 6.3.0 for a VB.NET Visual Studio 2022 application, and I'm having a problem with the "PacketCapture" structure, which is obsolete.
I tried to work around the problem by marking this structure as obsolete, but the problem is that I can't use it. Here, the "header" property isn't available.

Not really, but from what I see the obsolete is coming from your own code <ObsoleteAttribute("This property is obsolete. Use NewProperty instead.", False)>

Yes, I wrote that to avoid the compiler giving me an error, but the problem is that even if I no longer have an error, I cannot use the "PacketCapture" structure because here: the "header" property is not available.

PacketCapture does have a Header property, with an upper H

PacketCapture is defined as ref struct, seems this is not supported by VB.NET, see dotnet/vblang#297

Thanks for your help. I'm trying to create a class in C and reuse it in VB, but apparently it doesn't work either.
For now, I don't see a solution.
But I'll keep you posted on the progress anyway.

Hello, I'm finally coding in C# and no more problems, but I have another problem testing example 2 for Address Resolution Protocol (ARP): how do I choose the right IP address? I have the following hardware on my device:
0) Device NPF_WAN Miniport (Network Monitor)

1. Device NPF_WAN Miniport (IPv6)
2. Device NPF_WAN Miniport (IP)
3. Device NPF_Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (2) I219-LM
4. Device NPF_Loopback Adapter for loopback traffic capture

Thanks, I found the answer: for those who have the same problem, choose the device:
3) \Device\NPF_ Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (2) I219-LM
and use "ipconfig" to enter the "default gateway" IP address.
