Is there a way to control the display on the air handler?

I have a Mr Cool Mini split and am using MideaUART curtesy of ESPHome. The unit correctly displays the set temperature on it, but only in degrees F, as it had when I was using the factory dongle. Is there a way to set it to use degrees C on the display?
