Enhancement Request: HTTP Proxy support

The current version only supports HTTP Proxy for the Streaming API. Can we have the same feature with the other parts of the module too?

Hey @richto,

Given that #15 is still open, my feeling is that nobody is really interested in supporting any of the non-streaming parts. I'm reasonably confident that with the API changes, that code doesn't work at all at the moment. Personally, I am only using the streaming bits for ikDisplay and haven't had the time or interest to work on the other bits.
