I'm having the same issue. I have allowed it through the Windows firewall and it was working with previous League/Windows versions.

Same thing here, I don't even have firewall active, but ever since patch 8.11 the program just hangs on "downloading champions from Riot" and soon after says an error occurred, doesn't matter what website I try to use.

All the errors from the logs here connect to having trouble accessing the internet, with requests timing out to the various sources. I'll see about maybe adding a retry or minimizing outbound requests.

I had the same issue, Malwarebytes was blocking it as a false positive on it's live protection.

DeviateLua's suggestion was correct, Malwarebytes, specifically Web Protection is blocking it from being able to update. I'm not sure which site is causing it to be blocked but maybe someone that is more knowledgeable will be able to help figure it out so we can add an exclusion in Malwarebytes.

Exception of the exe or file/folder does not seem to work. I disabled Malwarebytes and championify loaded everything fine. Think disabling web protection might accomplish the same thing.

I have the same problem, I eliminate all traces of Malwarebytes and Championify, I did a thorough cleaning and add exclusions in both firewall and antivirus.
Even so, he did not achieve the champion version, but all the others did.
Is there any solution?

If you still have Malwarebytes, just disable the Web Protection and let Championify update, once it's done, re-enable it. This of course is at your own risk, but doubt anything bad could happen. I'd suggest removing those exclusions on your firewall and antivirus.

If you no longer have Malwarebytes installed and it's not updating, then some other service is blocking Championify.

Can confirm that Malwarebytes Web Protection was the problem (for me). Idk when it started exactly but the last update that worked was during LOL 8.10.

Problem resolved itself for me, not sure if it was a windows update or a domain got whitelisted with Malwarebytes, maybe the LoL version got updated. But all working on my end.
