I only want the word in its base form. Which file should I use?

I want to use this English words list for my dictionary app, but I only want the word in its base form (no -ing, plural, past tense... form). Which file should I use?

@Kuoyhout I don't believe we have those words singled out into their own file.
the purpose of this file/repo was to have all the words in a "standard" dictionary.

Unfortunately, that is a proper XML, which properly shows why is XML "dead as a dodo".
I assume there is still someone who knows XSL (!) which AFAIK is the proper way to translate this into some text ... ?
