Hi, it would be nice to have wine support for this tool, as it looks really promising.
Also an standard .exe installer would be nice.

I tried setting up TraceX in wine

  • got direct appx download link from ms store using https://store.rg-adguard.net/
  • extracted Microsoft.AzureRTOSTraceX_6.1.12.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe.AppxBundle
  • from this, extracted Microsoft.AzureRTOSTraceX_6.1.12.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe/tracex_package_6.1.12.0_x86.appx
  • now you got a TraceX folder containing TraceX.exe
  • after some fiddling I found at that TraceX requires DotNet 4.8, so I installed it using winetricks: winetricks dotnet48
  • now I could run TraceX, but the UI is only partially responsive and somewhat laggy.

System: Fedora 41
It might also be an issue related to my sway window manager, I will eventually try it out using some other setup.
