Describe the bug

The machine learning guide contains a set of function reference pages in an appendix (e.g. https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/machine-learning/current/ml-count-functions.html), which are linked from the anomaly detection function reference (https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/machine-learning/current/ml-functions.html). Those pages don't seem to have been migrated. Or at least, the links break in the migrated guide:

Expected behavior

Those pages are intended to be migrated into the reference section of the new IA so we'll need them to be carried forward one way or another.

Steps to reproduce

Run the machine-learning.md documentation set. Go to the ml-functions.html page

Tooling

  • docs-builder
  • migration tooling
  • I'm not sure

How many pages are we talking? We purposely don't migrate appendix pages because that's where all of the deleted pages live. Is it possible to add these to the Asciidoc TOC instead of fixing this edge case in migration tooling?

I'm going to close this as a duplicate of #325 so we can have a convo on this topic in one place.
