Hi and Welcome! Since there is no un-mixing of sources on the grid no matter what you pay for you would still get the same electricity as you do today. Only exception would be if you had solar panels behind your own power meter. Even if we took a less rigorous stance and allowed this type of accounting it would be impossible to track unless we need to know exactly how much renewable only was sold so it could be deducted from the "normal" share to avoid double accounting. Not only is this data not available but we also don't feel like it reflects the reality of the power grid to do it this way. |

Hi.
I just came across electricity maps and I absolutely love it!
When I export the data for a given country, I get a file that contains the carbon intensity of the mix for the entire country. Since you can get electricity contracts from your local utility with only renewable energy, I was wondering if it's possible to get a column in the datasets of what the carbon emission would be if the user only pays for renewable energy.
