Sync of apple albums broken after update to iOS 26 #7283

Hi team, after an update to iOS 26, albums from apple photos were not synced any longer. While testing, I found out that albums appear twice in the list of folders to backup. When selecting the second “folder” as well, the existing one is being updated correctly.
Bug
Since I, the album owner, updated my phone to iOS 26, no photos were synced in albums.
Tests
- It does not matter whether I or someone else adds pictures to the album in apple photos
- the album is still selected as backed-up folder in Ente
- In “backed up folders”, the amount of photos in the album does not update when a new photo is added in apple photos.
⚠️ there is a second folder with same name in the list of folders to backup up. It is not selected and has the correct amount of pictures.
Quickfix
Select the second album for backup additionally. In Ente, my the existing album was updated and synced as before. No second album was created.
