What's the correct way to use rules from this repository?

I created a project (https://github.com/TitovDigital/wappalyzer-js-cli) that uses rules from this repository and was wondering what's the right way to use them? Would my approach of cloning it alongside the app that uses the rules be the preferred one or there are better alternatives?
