When I command-tab something is happening as I see the windows flash a bit. But the dumb old mouse curser just stays where it was. MacBook Pro, macOS Monterey, 12.5.1. I have screens galore! An LG 43" LCD TV to the left, fed by HDMI, with 4 big Safari windows open most of the time, the MacBook in the middle (Mail app and Finder windows), then an Apple 21" LCD Cinema Display on right (Calendar, Messages, Numbers, Photo). With screens of such different sizes and the sheer mouse real estate, I have mouse movements that are 5 feet side to side at the extreme. I command-tab all the time. Cannot believe Apple hasn't build a mouse setting adjustable for this.
