Check that all array dtypes match with those defined in fortran 

I noticed some weird differences in behavior when running the exact same notebooks (fastscape-demo) in the same environment, but on different platforms (MacOS, Ubuntu, Binder containers...)

I suspect that this is related to issues with array dtypes that are not properly set.
