Usage of lua script engine, gz/std compression

Should copr service have ability to execute lua script sent by 'curl post'? i think, that this will reduce bandswith and add more flexibility when client need some specific data with certain format from copr instance, and create builds with some specific algorithm. Also, support for data compression will be a great choice if we need to reduce amount of data sent or received

Copr already have APIv3 execution engine, that does "execute" json strings and return response. For example, client can send data, described at https://frostyx.cz/posts/copr-has-a-brand-new-api to order to fetch information, start build job, cancel job or delete job results, create package, module or project or edit them, by the data sent by http/json. I think, that would be nice, if all available on APIv3 operations can be done via sending lua script, and that script would be executed with lua executing engine, for example "luajit". In python there are module called python3-lupa, which could be useful

Oooh, I originally thought you meant evaluating custom LUA code on the server-side, which didn't make sense to me.

But you probably want something like our python-copr package - https://python-copr.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ClientV3.html but in LUA? If that's the case, anyone can write it. I think, that copr can have their own statically-typed compiled language for executing binary bytecode on server-side, for example, Roblox created statically compiled language (luau) for executing on their server. Executing bytecode instead exchanging with http/json messages would significally reduce bandswitch, expecially when working with hundred packages
