Project Summary
MotoDEX is a blockchain-based racing game that combines the thrill of high-speed competition with the power of decentralized technology. The game allows players to create accounts, link wallets, and interact with NFTs by participating in races and tournaments to earn rewards. Utilizing smart contracts for secure gameplay mechanics and NFT management, MotoDEX integrates a decentralized marketplace, enabling peer-to-peer trading of in-game assets. With incentivized campaigns via POAP and Galxe, we aim to grow our community and keep players engaged.
Our primary goal is to leverage Filecoin’s decentralized storage solutions to securely store MotoDEX’s NFT metadata, gameplay data, and transaction history, ensuring high availability and tamper-proof records.

Impact
MotoDEX seeks to address a core challenge in blockchain gaming — secure, scalable, and cost-effective storage of NFT metadata and dynamic game-related data. Traditional centralized storage poses a risk of data loss or manipulation, undermining the trustless nature of Web3 gaming.
By integrating Filecoin, MotoDEX ensures:
Data Integrity: All NFT metadata, race results, and tournament histories are permanently stored and verifiable.
Scalability: Ability to handle the growing influx of new users and NFTs, supporting 10,000+ concurrent players.
Decentralization: Reducing reliance on centralized servers aligns with the core principles of blockchain technology.
Success means seamless data storage, reduced latency for game interactions, and a more secure player-driven economy. Without this, MotoDEX risks compromising user trust and limiting its growth potential.

Outcomes
Our key deliverables for this project include:
Integration of Filecoin storage: MotoDEX will store 10+ TB of NFT metadata, race logs, and game data.
Smart Contract Interaction: Efficiently link Filecoin storage with our smart contracts for transparent data retrieval.
User Interface Update: Add a Filecoin data tab within the MotoDEX platform, allowing users to view stored data related to their NFTs.
Comprehensive Testing: Ensure storage functionalities are robust, with testnet deployment and mainnet integration.
Documentation: Create detailed guides for developers and users on how Filecoin is utilized in MotoDEX.
Success Metrics:
10TB+ data stored on Filecoin within the first 3 months post-integration.
Smart contract uptime >99.9%.
50,000+ user interactions with Filecoin-stored data by the end of year one.
