It is pretty hard to test the logic in Mako templates. We could:

  • implement fuzzy tests (or semi-fuzzy ones with a Cartesian product of various parameters and discarding invalid ones, like it is done in reikna)
  • wait for a peval-based modules to become available and test them as Python functions
