ImagePolicy `.spec.filterTags.extract` field question

Hey guys!

A quick question about the SemVer policy. Is there a way to to use the filterTags.extract field not only for matching/filtering tags, but also for updating the repository? If not, would you be interested in introducing this? My use-case is rather simple, I could eventually solve my problem by re-tagging images appropriately, though making this consistent across the organization may be a bit harder, so I could use a small feature like this. And i wonder if you have ever encountered another use-cases such functionality may prove itself useful with.
