does optional works in deps?

Hi, I wonder if deps can be optional as well?
The use case is, for example, a color scheme that needs a plugin loaded before the theme itself to add support for the plugin.
but I only want the plugin to be loaded if it's loaded somewhere else.

With lazy, if a plugin only appears as a dep, then it would never be loaded anyway. So if you have a spec as optional and a dep there, the dep would also never be loaded if the spec isnt.

Check the lazyvim repo. We use this in a couple of places already in the extras.

sorry that i wasn't clear, i want a dep as optional. not the plugin itself.

so which-key is only loaded if its loaded somewhere else right?
