This seems to be a problem especially on Macs. Unfortunately it's not easy to resolve, as some browsers or operating systems do their own thing as far as scrollbars are concerned. I can say from experience that customizing their appearance is tedious and not very reliable. Still, we should see if we can improve the situation in some way.
