So this extension is currently not being maintained and GS47 is just around the corner. So any alternatives to this lovely extension?

(2) Alternatives I've considered

I couldn't find any alternatives

This sounds more like a discussion rather than an issue.
Don't think there's any alternatives besides maybe Pop Shell.
Also Gnome 47 support has been merged into main in #421 so I don't see a reason to worry about that now.

So I finally found an alternative but idk if it will work on GS47 as of now it works on GS46...

Its Pop shell from POP_OS!
