Is -A fallback to -S intended?

Hey, I wonder if it is intended that I can also install official packages while using -A and if that will also be the case in the future. The man page around -A does not tell it. If it is intended, it would be good to document it.

-A is for AUR packages only. In Aura, unlike other Arch package managers, -S and -A are strictly separated.

Try out aura -A nano for example:

Is there a way/workaround to explicitly specify to check for AUR repo for now? I have chaotic repo set up but wanting to build a package from the AUR myself, and it kept trying to install from the chaotic repo.

Can you describe your problem in more detail, I don't understand it.

I'm trying to install discord-canary from the AUR via the -A flag, but it searched for that package in the repositories first. I, in the other hand, have set up Chaotic-AUR (Automated building repo for AUR packages).

aura detects that chaotic-aur/discord-canary-electron-bin provides discord-canary and tries to install that instead.

PS. Which is NOT what I want since they depend on an old version of electron and nodejs.

That in particular is a known issue. Aura doesn't currently support resolution of conflicts between chaotic-aur and the real one.
