S5Late is generally the superior exploit to wInd3x: it does not require weird half-aborted USB transactions to succeed. It does in return require a stack blob to rebuild the stack after smashing it, but that's a fine price to pay to be able to run on more platforms than Linux.
We already support S5Late for N7G, in a funny way: we use it to re-enable the wInd3x bug.
We should consider porting all generations to S5Late instead, and probably rework the entire exploit methodology to not be built around the original wInd3x bug anymore.
