Pressing ctrl-enter inserts an <hr> horizontal rule. With the keyboard shortcuts module active, pressing ctrl-enter inserts an <hr> and then sends the reply. I don't want horizontal lines in my replies.

Pressing enter to send a message in a live chat ticket inserts a new line before sending the message. This makes the reply extra tall in the customer's chat window. Results in:
<div>my message</div><div><br></div>

Tested in Firefox and Chrome on Windows. Any ideas?
