Release Friction v1.0.0

Hi all,

We need to release v1.0.0 soon, but this month (and next) I will be busy with work as I have major deadlines pending, so I will not have much spare time to do anything really.

So, what to do?

• We could do a release on the 17th or 18th, that's probably the only day(s) I have free this month
• Delay release to sometime in June, but that's also a busy month, so I don't know
• Delay release to sometime in July

Not the best options, I would prefer the 18th (next Sunday).

I would say that if you release next Sunday and then you are going to be very busy you won't be able to fix any hot bugs, regressions or thing that may ruin this important 1.0 version. You won't have time neither for social media, videos, promos, etc...

I may suggest to release a last RC, let it be there till you have more spare time and then release final 1.0...

Yeah... unsure. Will think about it for a day or two. There are some bugs I would like to fix, and I would also like to get #515 merged before release, as it improves the UX a lot.

I say release it as a beta, not to the major "public" as a stable version, but to let people try the new changes

RC2 will/should happen before the end of this month, I just need a free day (not that easy this month) to complete the last feature for v1.0 (and also try to squash some bugs).

Final release of v1.0.0 will happen sometime in July, full development for v1.1 will happen shortly after that.
