Feature Request: Change default viewing plane

issue:
The default, hard coded, view plane is the XY-plane.
Even if the user changes that with every stl loaded it falls back to the hardcoded view.

expected:
The user selection / setting of the view should at least not be overwritten.

By this you mean when you rotate the model in the viewer right?
